Pea to the Nut 3

My friend Chad Veinot started this webcomic called "Pea to the Nut," but so far he's only made one.
Vince Smith recently drew another installment.
Last night at drink & draw I decided to get in on the action, but of course I couldn't remember the proper format of the strip or really what the characters were supposed to look like. Oh well!

Wolverteen

I have two excuses for this picture. 1: I didn't think of it, someone on Canadian Geek came up with the word, and 2: it's from drink & draw.
And this is a movie called "Planet of (the?) Dinosaurs" from 1978 that my brother and I watched all the time as kids. Aaaalll the time! Now you can watch the entire thing on youtube.

Fanart
This incredible drawing of Dyan from North 40 is by Phillippe Sherding, a very talented French illustrator:

And here's one I did of his cool character, Miss Satan:

Drink & Draw catch up
FYI: We've settled on the Hop In Brew: 213 12 Avenue SW. If you've never been there, it looks like a small house with a sign that says, "PUB." Wednesdays at 7.
I'm pretty terrible at drawing characters' costumes from memory... I gave Matt a big DD logo on his forehead until Nick yelled at me.
Daredevil

Doc Ock

Kingpin

Red Sonja

Bossk, Luke, Leia

Some guy...

And MAJOR kudos to anyone who knows what this is a fanart of:

drink & draw: end of an era
Well, our beloved Murph's pub is closing at the end of the week so last night was the last time we will ever drink & draw in its dank recesses. The weekly tradition will live on though! We just don't know where yet.

Does Superman cry? A hot topic of debate last week

Drawing Simpsons characters from memory: actually really hard...

Zatanna
For a costume redesign challenge on Canadian Geek. This was hard because I think Zatanna's costume is perfect the way it is, but it was fun taking it in a "Schiaparelli does burlesque" direction...

Freefall

What's this? A superhero from the '90s that actually had a cool costume?? Well, I think Roxy wore something resembling this at one point. I tried to google it but all that came up were nudie Gen13 fanarts.
Anyway, the black tights with black leather jacket is totally Lindsay Lohan so I gave her some Ray-Bans too.

La Calavera

This is a little tribute to Bob Prodor's cool character "La Calavera," who appears in several of the Tales From the Harbor anthologies. You can find the story "La Calavera in: The Statue" in the latest and last volume... the one I did the cover for!
