Dritwood's War

This is a quick painting I did for a cover mockup for Driftwood's War, a children's novel by my friend James Davidge. We needed something to use in a catalogue, but this image isn't finished... composition sucks and I'll probably redo the background completely.

But it's still fun drawing flying creatures.

Hawkman sketch

I like Hawkman because he has a great costume, and he's crazy. I don't mean like Batman... Batman is merely eccentric. Hawkman is insane.

WIP: Tales From the Harbor cover

My pal Jay from Happy Harbor asked me to do the cover for the next and final volume of Tales From the Harbor, the comics anthology by local creators that HH publishes (have you ever heard of such a great store?), and he wanted "Dogs Playing Poker" but with movie monsters instead of dogs.

So, actually not that much like "Dogs Playing Poker."

WIP: Dazzler

Alison Blaire! The most sparkly mutant of them all. Forget that blue leotard she wore in the '90s or whatever. Her pearly white jumpsuit with the giant lapels and disco-ball necklace is where it's at!

I always complain about certain heroes wearing tights, because it's dumb, but Dazzler has a good reason to wear them. The reason is that she is a Dancing Queen.
